Does anyone disagree with getting their dog spayed?

I know most people say spay and nuter, I am having a hard time with this because I just adore my precious puppy and I feel like I am taking away her right to be a mommy and the vet said its like having a hysterectomy so she will be there over night.I want only whats best for her.Does anyone else have a problem with getting their dog spayed or nutered?I know shes not a human but she should be able to have puppies if that makes her happy.I wish I could ask her LOL!
