Guitar String Replacment?

I got a Fender Starcaster Strat Electric (Not hallow body type) and I'm wondering how to fix the 6th string. I was tuning my guitar to play Duality by Slipknot and I had to tune my 6th string to G, when I was tuning I was on dropped F all of sudden it snapped and the guitar string sorta fell apart. I have a replacement string but I need to know how to fix it.Can someone provide a website or tell me how? Thanks
