How different is Canada from the United States? I'm thinking of going to college there?
I'm thinking about going to the University of Toronto for college. I'm really debating on wether I should do this or not because I have never been to Canada before and from what I've heard and seen it's just like the United States except the drinking age is lower (18-19) and maybe a few laws are different. But from what I've seen it looks like it's basically the same as the United States. Do they watch the same movies we watch or do they have their own movies? Do they listen to their own music or do they listen to our music? Do they watch the same T.V. shows we watch or do they have their own? Do they have freedom of speech their? (I know that they technically don't because the U.S. is the only country that legally does) but what I mean is can you get away with profanity in public? Are you allowed to have government related conversations in public? Is protesting illegal? And how good is college up there in Toronto/Canada compared to college in the U.S.? Thanks for the help! :)
