My grandpa used to use a jug with cracker crumbs in it to catch minnows does remember catching them that way?

My grampa did that too. He would take the jug with crackers in it and use a big nail to make a hole that the fish could get into and not get out of. It worked great and i eventually got him a really nice minnow trap for catching pike minnows and i never saw him use it once. he liked his jug lol
